NEW ITALIAN CINEMA returns to San Francisco!

Celebrate the 10th Anniversary of New Italian Cinema

Join us for the 10th Anniversary of New Italian Cinema, an annual series of the best new Italian films featuring 14 new works by talented, emerging directors, many of whom will be in attendance.

Each of the 14 selections (seven feature films and seven short films) is in competition for the City of Florence Awards, given to the highest-rated films by N.I.C.E. audiences in San Francisco and New York.

On Opening Night, Marco Bellocchio, who has been a leading figure in Italian cinema for over 40 years, will be in attendance to present his new film The Wedding Director, recently presented at the Cannes film festival. All ticket holders are invited to reception with our special guest!

We will also be presenting a retrospective of Bellocchio?s earlier career with screenings of Good Morning, Night and Fists in the Pocket.

Closing Night features Three Days of Anarchy from acclaimed director Vito Zagarrio who is expected to be in attendance.
